National League Rugby is excited to announce the launch of a new ‘National League Rugby Preview Show’ as part of our fresh vision for the 2024/25 season.

  • New Preview Show to be aired every Thursday on YouTube. Powered by Talking Rugby Union.
  • Two clubs will be highlighted each week as part of National League Rugby’s ‘Feature Games of the Week’ concept
  • Aim is to drive fans to attend NLR matches in person and to make our clubs the place to visit on a Saturday afternoon
  • National League Rugby to also produce a weekly bite-sized ‘Wrap-Up’ video focusing on the talking points from the weekend

National League Rugby is excited to announce the launch of a new ‘National League Rugby Preview Show’ as part of our fresh vision for the 2024/25 season.

Over the last few years, our commitment to raising the profile of rugby at levels three and four – via ‘The National League Rugby Review Show’ and last season’s successful ‘National League Rugby Round-Up’ videos – has been beneficial. Our aim is to now encourage more people to attend NLR matches in person to make our clubs the place to visit on a Saturday afternoon.

To achieve this, we are introducing the ‘National League Rugby Preview Show’ which – whilst focusing on all the narratives and key points across National 1 and National 2 – will be centred around two clubs each week making their fixtures the ‘Feature Games of the Week’.

For example, our opening week will focus on Sedgley Park’s meeting with Esher in National 1 whilst in National 2 East, our attention will be on newly-promoted Havant against Sevenoaks.

The idea behind this is to give the highlighted clubs the platform to be in the spotlight and National League Rugby is committed to focusing on all 56 teams throughout the season.

The Show will be aired on our YouTube channel every Thursday whilst further content around the ‘Feature Games of the Week’ will be produced across National League Rugby’s multimedia platforms.

We aim to bring existing supporters of National League Rugby closer to our level of the game whilst also highlighting to rugby fans in general why National 1 and National 2 are such an important part of the rugby landscape.

In addition to the Preview Show, NLR will also produce a ‘Wrap-Up’ video every Tuesday which will be a bite-sized look back at the highlights/talking points from the previous weekend.

We hope our new direction can encourage more people to attend matches at this level whilst increasing the profile of National 1 and National 2 across our media platforms.

For the opening two weekends in September, National 1 and National 2 will be the destination for any rugby fan in England as it is the highest level of men’s rugby you can watch in person!

So why not head down to your local National League Rugby club to get your fix whilst taking in all of our fresh content for the 2024/25 season!

The 2024/25 campaign gets underway on September 7th and it will undoubtedly be another unforgettable eight months of rugby with absorbing title races and gripping relegation battles expected once again.
