England Under-20s have confirmed their 30-man squad to travel to Georgia in June in preparation for the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship.
Included in Mark Mapletoft’s plans are 18 players who gained valuable minutes in either National One or National Two this season.
James Halliwell (Bristol Bears) was one of those who enjoyed a successful loan spell with National Two West champions Dings Crusaders while three uncapped members of the squad also experienced levels three and four.
George Timmins (Bath Rugby) and Leicester Tigers’ Cameron Miell turned out for Hornets and Loughborough Students respectively while centre Charlie Myall (Leicester Tigers) racked up 16 appearances for Leicester Lions as Gareth Collins’ side secured survival in National One.
George Makepeace-Cubitt – who began the 2023/24 season solely connected to Rams – has since signed a contract with Northampton Saints.
England travel to Tbilisi for two uncapped Tests against their hosts on 7th and 12th June at the Avchala Stadium before their Under-20 Championship campaign begins on June 29th against Argentina in South Africa.
