National League: Club Watch
We are nearly a third of the way through the National League season and teams are continuing to be busy on and off the field.
Let’s find out the news from around some of our clubs in the latest edition of Club Watch.
National One
Blackheath RFC
Blackheath’s yearly City Lunch will be taking place on November 9th with Will Carling as the main speaker for the event. Tickets will cost £90 per person, with attendees receiving a three course lunch, and a welcome drink.

Cambridge RUFC
Cambridge are offering their own half term rugby camps taking place across three dates in October. The camps will be for both boys and girls. The 23rd and 24th of October will be the boys camps and the 25th will just be for the girls.
Online prices vary to the on the day prices. If places are paid for online, then it will be £30 for one day and £50 for two. But if the places are paid for on the day then it will be £35 for one day and £60 for two.
Plymouth Albion RFC
Plymouth will be putting on an evening with Jack Nowell and Henry Slade on Wednesday the 28th of November. The event is being run in conjunction with Wooden Spoon, a rugby charity that is in aid of children.

As part of the evening, there will be a two course meal, a cheese board, as well as a question and answer segment so that fans can ask the England players whatever they want.
National Two North
Preston Grasshoppers
Preston have begun advertising for their bonfire night on the 5th of November. With gates opening at 6pm, there will be a bonfire, fireworks display, a funfair and plenty of food. In what promises to be a really enjoyable evening, people who want to attend are advised to buy their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the night.
Sheffield Tigers RUFC
Sheffield Tigers will be the venue for Rachael Burford’s Academy day on the 31st of October. Ran by England international Burford, the day camp will be for girls only, aged 7-18. For just £35 per player, the day will include three rugby sessions, an indoor personal development programme, a goody bag and a participation certificate.

Stourbridge RFC
Stourbridge are looking for volunteers to help in the run up to their bonfire night event on the 2nd of November. They also want people to assist on the evening too. Tasks will range from constructing the bonfire, helping with car parking and to help clean up the next day.
National Two South
Bury St Edmunds RFC
Bury St Edmunds was the host of a mini and juniors festival over the weekend. There were 400 children in attendance, with Be Rugby Magazine attending the event, along with Samurai Sports who contributed to the days organisation.

Henley Hawks
Henley Hawks will host a derby game on Friday night as the rugby club will take on Henley College for the first time this season. With several fixtures organised throughout the year, the Hawks should be putting out a strong side. Kick-off is at 7pm on Friday night.
Redruth RFC
This week Redruth remembered their former fly-half James Huxtable who lost his life in March. His family presented a cheque to Wooden Spoon Cornwall. A former player at the University of Bath and Taunton, the money his family gave Wooden Spoon will be used for their deserving projects.
