National Club: Club Watch
The final Club Watch of 2018 is here and we have taken a look at what some of our clubs have planned before we enter the New Year!
National One
Esher Rugby
Esher are advertising for their supporters to join the club on New Year’s Eve for a New Year’s party. Starting at 7pm, attendees will have food included in their ticket price, which at just £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s, seems to be a very well-priced offer. The club do stress that tickets must be bought in advance and not on the night.
Sale FC
Sale FC are inviting their supporters to see in the New Year at Heywood Road. Club members will be able to go to the event for £20, non-members for £25 and children for £5. As part of the celebrations, there will be a hot buffet, fizz upon arrival, bacon butties and a disco.

National Two North
Hinckley RFC
Prior to their game against Peterborough Lions, Hinckley will be having their pre-match Christmas lunch. Even supporters that don’t attend the pre-match lunch will be able to get in on the festivities as well! Free turkey and stuffing rolls, along with mulled wine and mince pies will be handed out upon entry.
Huddersfield RUFC
Huddersfield will be taking on their local rivals, Huddersfield YMCA, on Saturday 29th December in order to raise money for YM’s groundsman Andy Kelly, whose daughter passed away, prior to Andy suffering a stroke.
Both teams will be made up of players aged 35 and over, it will be free entry, but there will be charity buckets going around, a raffle and an optional pre-match meal.
@Huddersfield_RU will face @HuddsYMCARUFC in a festive charity game on Saturday 29th December with a 2pm KO.

Hull Ionians
Brantingham Park will be having it’s own New Year’s celebrations. At £45 per person, people who come to the event at Hull Ionians will get a three course dinner, benefit from a late bar, have DJ and disco entertainment as well as bacon butties after midnight. Added to this, there will a raffle and a canape reception so Ionians seem to have a great event prepared to see in the New Year.
National Two South
Birmingham & Solihull Bees
With nine more home games this season, Birmingham and Solihull are looking for volunteers to help out on matchdays. Mainly asking for help on the gates and in hospitality, it would be fantastic for people to help out a club in their community.
Henley Hawks
With Christmas less than a week away now, supporters of Henley Hawks can get half price membership at the club for the rest of the season. With the club currently in third, the second half of this season is set to be exciting for the Thames Valley side.
Old Albanian
With many universities wrapping up for the year, Old Albanian are inviting down returning students from the Hertfordshire area to take part in their Annual Returning Student Festival. A sevens event, there will be plenty of talent on show this evening. Starting at 6pm tonight, this does seem like an exciting evening’s entertainment.
REMINDER!
Tomorrow we will be hosting our Annual Returning Students Festival! A sevens competition featuring teams of returning students from clubs around Herts!
